Renata Sa was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is a qualified lawyer by both the Brazilian and Portuguese Bar Associations since 2004 and 2006, respectively. After obtaining her Law Degree in Brazil, Renata worked as a criminal lawyer in a well-known Law Firm in Rio de Janeiro which enabled her to gain expertise in economic criminal law and international financial transactions. In 2006, Renata moved to Portugal and achieved her post-graduate qualification in Economic European Penal Law at Coimbra University, distinguished to be an indisputable reference in higher education and research in Law. While further studying towards her Master's in Community Law, also at Coimbra University, she joined a Property law firm in the Algarve to work as a specialist in Brazilian law. Renata moved to the United Kingdom in 2008 and was invited to lead the Brazilian, Portuguese and Cape Verdean Department of an International Law Firm based in London.  She has now established, and is a director of, a Chapter of the Chamber of Overseas and International Lawyers focused exclusively on Brazilian Property Investments.
